SanMar Global Sourcing DMCC is actively seeking a Textile Technologist with a strong technical background in fabric development, textile performance, and quality control. This is a full-time position based in Dubai, ideal for candidates with 2–5 years of experience in the textile or garment manufacturing industry.
If you’re passionate about fabric innovation, quality testing, and product performance, this role offers a great opportunity to work with a global sourcing leader supplying world-class apparel.
Develop and test new textile materials for apparel and product lines.
Evaluate fabric construction, performance, and sustainability in line with company standards.
Work closely with vendors and mills to ensure compliance with specifications.
Conduct lab tests and analyze results for colorfastness, shrinkage, pilling, etc.
Review and approve fabric submissions, lab dips, and bulk production samples.
Troubleshoot quality issues during production and recommend technical solutions.
Stay updated with global textile trends, new materials, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with the design, merchandising, and sourcing teams on product development.
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, or related field.
2–5 years of relevant experience in textile development, garment production, or quality assurance.
Strong knowledge of fabric types, dyeing, finishing processes, and textile testing protocols.
Experience working with textile mills, labs, and international sourcing partners.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and fabric tracking systems.
Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
